It Was a Dark and Stormy Night…

beth-teutschmann-154958-unsplash.jpgOctober has been a busy month here at the WorkFlowy Haunted Mansion. Our software zombies have been hard at work improving the product in a myriad of ways, many of which are important but don’t necessarily merit their own blog post.

In that spirit, we are announcing WorkFlowy Release Notes. We usually release on Tuesdays. You can visit this shared WorkFlowy and see what changes we have made:

If you add that to your account and enable daily summary emails, then whenever we make a new release you will see it in your daily digest (you can enable daily summary emails from Settings)

One recent feature that I want to highlight is Dark Mode for iOS and Android. Spooooky! This has been one of our top requests of 2018. Dark Mode is available now for WorkFlowy Pro subscribers. You can enable it from the Settings menu in your mobile app (make sure you have updated to the latest version).

Happy Halloween Everyone!

  1. The font is still black on the search menu during dark mode which makes it unreadable. Other than that it’s great to have dark mode finally

  2. Awesome! Thank you so much for release notes! Once a month is great, once a week is better, but thank you so much for keeping us up to date! Love getting a little inside scoop, and knowing if there’s anything new to use. Thank you!!!!

    1. You can’t yet do it on the mobile app (silly, I know!) But on a web browser, go to Settings (Gear Menu) and there will be a button that says “Get WorkFlowy Pro”. If you need more help, write to us at

  3. You guys seem to have changed the dark mode color on the desktop web version in the process. It has a blue cast to it now and I don’t like it at all. Is this a bug or was it intentional on your part? The old dark grey color was vastly superior to the current blue grey color. The old color which was #222222 matched the “simple dark material” theme in chrome and also matched the default dark mode in the Brave browser. The old one was warm and inviting, while the new one is cold and dank. Moreover the blue spectrum defeats a lot of the purpose of using a dark theme to begin with. I hope you change it back or at least offer us the option of choosing our own color.

    1. I think I may be wrong on that old color code. It might have been closer to #393939 before. I just know it used to match both of my browsers and now it’s just really blue.

      1. Yes that was the color shift! @Scvairy are you saying that it’s only the beta users that are seeing the color shift?
