Our next major push at WorkFlowy will be to improve the Mobile experience. We know it has a long way to go and a lot of potential, and we’re excited to get there!
As we dive in, we’d love to hear from you about which features matter most to you in your mobile experience of WorkFlowy. We put together a thread in our WorkFlowy subreddit where you can vote on the features, or bug fixes, that you care most about.
And if we forgot anything, add a comment with a mobile feature, for others to vote on as well. (At the moment, we are only focused on mobile, please hold off on other feature requests in the subreddit thread.)
Vote and add suggestions here.
Thanks everyone!
You should try some modern online services that offer the users to vote for future features and improvements like Reddit but much better organized and designed. I believe Reddit is an awful choice to get feedback from users, moreover in these days while there are so many good sites offering this service.
Estos temas son muy atractivos y si no estás al loro se actualiza constantemente el mercado y
no te enteras de nada si no lees constantemente sobre ello.
Muchas gracias por compartirlo con nosotros.
On Android, pressing “back” (possibly twice) should exit if you’re not zoomed in any list item. I know I can just use the “home” key but it’s standard behavior and a habit, and should be trivial to implement. Thank you.
Just curious if we’ll see an update for…anything before the end of the year? Desktop app? Mobile app? Alpha feature? Blog post explaining what is currently in development? Shared WF list that just highlights what’s being worked on?
I do love the app and hate complaining, just trying to gauge my expectations after all these updates. Thanks!
I’m very happy with the way things are. I hope that you will not make things more complicated. Or change type size or weight. Thanks.
Please please please add auto-complete of tags– that’s the one thing I’m waiting for before switching from Evernote. Thanks!
Hi Greg, can I give an alternative before the update of workflowy? Perhaps you can try some auto text replacement softwares, such as Phraseexpress (Windows) or textexpander (mac). Hope it’s helpful~ wu.laplace@gmail.com
Also, why not just use a form like Google docs or Typeform? If you’re questioning which three features you’re thinking about are highest priority, ask us, but if you’re asking what to make, that’s the wrong question.
When can we expect a new feature to test for the Alpha group?
(No Reddit.) I’d like multiple tabs in addition to accessing starred pages.
Thanks, logging your vote.
It would be really nice if you used an application that doesn’t force you to set up credentials before voting. Very combersome interface.
Agreed. Thanks for already sending in your votes to alpha@workflowy.com, Ann!
I used to use WorkFlowy on an iPad Mini 2 with iOS 10.3.3 and I downloaded the latest version the other day but now WorkFlowy won’t launch anymore. So before you go ahead and implement any new features, please repair this so that the app works. I had tried to delete the app and install fresh but each time I tap on the app icon it’s just darkened but won’t launch. Strange.
Thanks for the bug report, Martin. We’ll take a look. If you’d like to follow up with us, send an email to help@workflowy.com and we can let you know when this is repaired.
[…] It’s online so it’s desktop, tablet or mobile (although the mobile app is horrible, but just got an email that is going to be changing). You can theme it in a number of ways. (it’s also my #1 ToDo App as well, but that’s […]
Some thoughts on the folly of relying on user voting for, well, anything: https://robn.io/feature-voting/
Great post, Terry. We very much agree! We are well aware of the dangers of letting user-voting guide product decisions. The next steps for Mobile have been very thoughtfully considered based on our vision for the product, and these are weighed along with the feedback we get directly from users, user testing and interviews, and emails that come to us. The subreddit voting is just another piece of data for us but will not directly alter our priorities. Thanks again for the thoughtful warning!
Is there any way to vote or leave comments without setting up a reddit account?
Great question. We are hoping in the future to find a better way to do voting that isn’t dependent on reddit. For now, feel free to leave feedback here in the comments about your top priority mobile features. Or you can write to us directly at alpha@workflowy.com.
I also object to having to sign up for third party service to help WorkFlowy to identify and vote on features. The reddit process that both votes and creates new candidates in the same round is an example of chaos that likely yields questionable data.
My most important feature for the android app is easier moving of bullets up and down. I have a remarkably difficult time pressing and holding them in just the right way to get them to move, and the results seem inconsistent.
Spell checking would be my next most important feature, followed by autocomplete of tags.
